Brian K. Bender, 59, of Altoona, passed away peacefully at his home following a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, November 1, 2025. He was born on July 26, 1966, in Mentor on the Lake, OH, son of Clyde and Donna (Bragg) Bender. Surviving are his parents, a daughter, Paige Bender and her fiancé’ Braden Shultz, a girlfriend Kali Estright, three brothers; David, Philip, and Mark Bender, two sisters; Tracey and Katie Bender; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. In his earlier years, Brian was employed as a cosmetologist and owned his own salon in State College, where he was well known for his talent. Later in life, he worked as a realtor with Colony Realty Group. He especially cherished time spent with his beloved dogs, Shadow and Booboo. He also enjoyed taking drives in his Porsche and going out for ice cream with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. All services will be privately held at the convenience of his family.
