Brian Douglas Boock, 73, of Audubon, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the Story County Medical Center in Nevada, Iowa.
Brian was born December 27, 1950, in Ida Grove, Iowa, the son of Wayne and Dorothy Babcock Boock. Brian graduated from Eastwood High School in Correctionville, Iowa in 1969. Brian was united in marriage to Lola Weihs March 29, 1975, in Omaha, Nebraska. Brian had worked on road construction, was a self-employed carpenter for many years, and worked as an excavator and bulldozer operator before retiring. Brian loved golfing, gardening, Farmall tractors, visiting the casinos "now and then," dogs, and was an Iowa State Cyclone fan.
Brian is survived by his wife, Lola of Audubon; 5 sons: Brandon (Jill) Boock of Strawberry Point, Nathan (Kellie) Boock of Huxley, Brenton (Nikki) Boock of Ankeny, Jordan (Julia) Boock of Ames, Landon (Lauren) Boock of Audubon; 2 daughters: Heidi (Dale) Langenbau of Garwin, Tasha (Tony) Vorm of Nevada; 19 grandchildren: Summer, Cole, Addisyn, Cooper, Kaydence, Kerrigan, Mataya, Griffin, Maddux, Akrin, Easton, Keslee, Zélie, Brewer, Fulton, Clement, Edith, Harper and Maris; 4 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Ron (Jan) Boock of Moville.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents and his parents-in-law.
Per Brian's wishes there will be no funeral or visitation.
The Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
