Libble Lavelle Coker Boock, 97, passed away from this life to life eternal on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Libble was born on August 26, 1927, in Marion County, AL to Henry Myrt and Zera Mae Thompson Coker. She grew up in Carroll County and she was the widow of James Bruce Boock, whom she married on December 11, 1944. After 57 years of marriage, Jim passed away in 2001. She was employed in the area garment industry for many years, and she did sewing and alterations for the public well after her retirement. Libble invested in people and loved nothing more than to sit and visit with her friends. She often gave simple but profound encouragement especially to those who were in difficult times. She would often answer through her quick wit, and she was a fan of all Ole Miss sports. Libble had a deep and abiding faith in God, and she worshipped with her spiritual family at Amory Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Ministers Philip Hathcock and Jonathan Godsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Haughton Memorial Park.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Wes Boock (Caroline), Hatley; Derreck Boock, Ecru, and Bruce Boock, Ecru; great grandchildren, Wells Boock and Graham Boock; those whom she loved as grandchildren, Rob Forbus (Caitlin) and their children, Dottie and Millie; and Addie Forbus; her daughters-in-love, Stacy Forbus and Angie Boock; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends from Magnolia Manor where she spent the last seven years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Boock; two sons, David Alan Boock and James Mark Boock; and 5 siblings, Cooper Coker, Dorothy Coker Conwill, Audrey Coker Conwill, Wilma Coker Bennett, and infant sister, Sybil Coker.

Pallbearers will be Chad Ray, Peter Conwill, Bob Conwill, Richard Conwill, Bill Thomas, and Jeff Coker.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Amory Church of Christ.
