Brian H. Covey, 66, of Athens, PA, passed away at home with his family by his side on Sunday, October 12, 2025 following an extended illness.
He was born on October 25, 1958, in Waverly, NY, the son of the late Leonard P. and Sherrill Dawn (Hibbard) Covey.
Brian was a Veteran of the US Army, serving his country proudly for 16 years. His family was everything to him and he loved them deeply. Brian loved fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed word games.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife of 12 years; Sheila Smith Covey, daughters; Sirena Covey and Charitie Cameron, son; Nicholas Cameron, and 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law; Paul and Deborah Covey, Gary and Darlene Covey, Dean and Debbie Covey, and Roy and Patty Covey, sister and brother-in-law; Cathy and Frank Myers, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Brian's life will be held at a later date. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
