Brian Douglas Dunn, 51 years old, of Pampa, Texas, answered Jesus' call while sleeping on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at his home. He was born on June 22, 1973, in Farmington, New Mexico to Daniel and Connie Dunn.
After graduating from Dumas High School in 1993, Brian worked construction all across Texas, he was an accomplished house painter, and a couple of his exciting jobs was working the concession stands at ball parks and even at a carnival; however, the past year and half he's found a new employment family in Tractor Supply.
Growing up, Brian had a bizarre fascination with snakes – all kinds of snakes! He did at one time have a pet python named Tilly for several years. Over the years, he's enjoyed snake hunting and would skin them. He lived in Spokane, WA for about 12 years before moving to Oklahoma City then almost two years ago he moved back home and has been a tremendous blessing to his mom.
No doubt about it, Brian was ornery, but only in a manner to bring about joy to others around him. He loved to laugh and therefore, he wanted to see others laugh too. He had an amazing wealth of knowledge regarding music of all genres. He could name that tune and the artist with ease! Brian was generally a very happy soul and he will be missed by many.
His arrival into Heaven was welcomed with open arms by his grandfather, Tuffie Lasater, brother, David Dunn, stepdad, Larry Edwards and his Uncle Doug Lasater.
Those remaining to cherish his memories are his mother, Connie Edwards of Pampa; stepdad, De Bryan and wife Sherrie of Liberal, KS; grandmother, Nonie Lasater of Pampa; nephew, Brady Dunn of McLean; niece, Lainie Casper and husband Clay of Balco, OK; his Aunt Debbie of Pampa; cousins, Jennifer Sullins of Pampa, Carla Davis and husband Heath of Amarillo, Brandie Coberley of Pampa, Sherrie McClure and husband Travis of Amarillo, Jack Downs of Pampa and his four legged buddy, Sissy, as well as numerous extended family members who loved him.
For those whose preference might be donations in memory of Brian, the family suggests they be made to either his church, The Church of the Nazarene, 500 N. West Street, Pampa, TX 79065 or to Pampa Animal Welfare Shelter (P.A.W.S.), PO Box 2095, Pampa, TX 79066-2095.
Celebration of Life Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Mike James and retired Pastor Jimmye Cole officiating. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Brian Douglas Dunn, please visit our Tree Store.
