Donald Edward Dunn, 80, of Girard, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025.
He was born in Lake City on March 1, 1945, to the late Alexander and Pauline (Blood) Dunn.
Donald was a graduate of Northwestern High School, and immediately following his schooling, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Upon his honorable discharge and return home, he began working as a master plumber for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. Donald later held numerous trucking positions before concluding his career in Grand Junction, Colorado, once again working as a plumber for the railroad.
He was an active and hardworking man who always stayed busy. Donald had a deep appreciation for history, particularly the Civil War and his own family's lineage. His passion for historical knowledge also extended to weaponry, where he enjoyed reloading his own ammunition and hunting.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Vera Brown.
He is survived by his loving family, including his son, Alexander Dunn; his sister, Ruth Gama; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved deeply.
Per Donald's wishes, services will be held privately.
