Lee Weaver, 84 of East Springfield, passed on Saturday, November 08, 2025, at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie.
Lee was born in Sewickley, PA, December 6, 1940, the son of the late Herbert E. and Rose A. (Roth) Weaver and graduated from Ambridge High School in 1958. Following high school, he attended Penn State University, majoring in Horticulture, and graduated in 1962 with a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture. While attending PSU, he participated in the Army ROTC program and, upon graduation, entered the US Army as a 2nd LT. He was deployed to Hanau, Germany with the 507th Ordinance Co. where he was later promoted to 1st LT. After active service, Lee began working for International-Harvester as a service tech, salesman and industrial sales manager for northern Ohio. He moved to Erie in 1968 and went to work for Kafferlin Sales & Service in Union City, PA, where he sold farm and construction equipment until his retirement in 2008.

He was active in the Elk Valley Sportsmen's Club, loved helping to organize the spring fishing event for young anglers at Elk Creek Access, and enjoyed volunteering at Presque Isle State Park, in particular providing tours through the lagoons as the captain of a pontoon boat.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine A. (Pegher) Weaver, whom he married February 12, 1963, in Basel, Switzerland.
He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: two sons, Kurt C. Weaver (Suzanne) of Cleveland, OH, and Mark H. Weaver (Kim) of Sneads Ferry, NC; a daughter, Laura A. Weaver (Stephan "Landsmann", Sarah & Kate) of Lubeck, Germany; a sister, Judith A. Benedict (John) of Pemberville, OH, and his nephews Keith Benedict (Jen, Teagan and Charlie Richmond, and Madison) of Toledo, OH, and Brad Benedict (Janelle, Isla, Tristan and Wesley) of Brea, CA.
