Brian Embleton Obituary
Brian was born in Bristol, Connecticut on December 25, 1940 to Pennell and Hazel (Larkin) Embleton. He was raised with his brother Alan in East Hartford, Conn.
Brian graduated from Wentworth Institute with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1961. He served in the US Air National Guard and the US Air Force Reserves, earning his pilot's license during his service.
In 1963, Brian married the love of his life, Judy Vibert Embleton. Together they raised three daughters in West Hartford, Conn. Brian enjoyed a long career in heavy construction, civil engineering and worked on many projects throughout Connecticut. He retired in 2003 from the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 478, where he held multiple positions including operating engineer and business agent.
Brian and Judy retired to Orleans, Mass. where they enjoyed many years living on Cape Cod Bay. Brian loved being outdoors. He enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, clamming and working to preserving local wetlands. Though to Brian what truly mattered most were his family and friends. He was an exceptional husband and father, and had a knack for making people feel special, especially his grandchildren.
Brian is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Beth May Embleton, Amy Embleton, and Carrie Pericola; son-in-law, Steven Pericola; grandchildren, Ian Pennell Joseph Madden and Hazel Pericola; brother, Alan Embleton; and many nieces and nephews.
Brian's family is grateful to Harbor Point at Centerville, Brookdale Chatfield and the Alzheimer's Family Support Center, Brewster, Ma. for providing care and support.
A memorial service will be held in Connecticut at a time and date to be announced.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Sperry-McHoul-Pichi Funeral Home in North Attleboro, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Family Support Center, Brewster, Mass.

Brian & Judy were dear to our Alz. Wives Club. Sharing our heartbreak and our love every Thursday morning over coffee at the Snowy Owl in Brewster. While the disease our husbands shared was awful, our friendship and support for one another was a blessing. Sending condolences from beautiful Cape Cod. Brian is now free to work new gardens.

My sincere condolences to Judy and the rest of the Embleton family. My late husband and I have been Orleans neighbors dating back to Brian´s mom and dad. Always enjoyed their company and continue to enjoy Amy´s frequent visits back to Orleans. RIP
