Freese, Brian Matthew "Buddha", age 45 of Mason, Michigan, passed away suddenly at home on February 5, 2025. Brian graduated from Northwest High School and Western Michigan University. After graduating college he moved to Chicago and began his teaching career with the Chicago School System. Brian returned to Jackson and in 2014 began teaching 7th grade Social Studies at Western Middle School. He made learning fun with his quick wit and was a valued member who loved his students. He coached 7th grade boys basketball for 7 years. He accomplished an undefeated season with a 38 game win streak.
Brian loved his Family, Friends, Playing Golf, Sports, Playing Cards, Travel, and Cooking. He was a loyal Michigan State Fan! GO GREEN!
Brian was a lot of things, A Generous Soul, Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Teacher, Coach, who touched many. "Those who touch our lives stay in our hearts forever. Life with you was short, but in heaven it will be eternity. Gone from life but forever in our hearts".
Brian is survived by his wife, Cory, son, Zaki, stepdaughters, Allainia and Anna, parents, David and Brenda Freese, brother Jason (Holly), nephews, Walker, Bryce, and Cash, Godfather, Leo Reardon, many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins along with In-Laws Martin and Beverly Ciesielski, and Many Friends.
