I just last night (Monday July 16)heard about Brian's death and am still reeling from the fact. As others have I too have lost touch with Brian over the years but what fun memories of him! As a child he lived next door to us and the kids often played together in the summertime. Beth got a baby goat for her 5th birthday in September and named him Billy. Brian (he was 7 or 8 years old) loved to get down and butt heads with Billy all Fall. The next Spring Brian came to see Billy and proceeded to play the game not thinking about Billy growing over the winter and being able to butt harder. After the first head butt Brian got up, rubbed his forehead, then shook his head and started for home without saying a word! The only time he was ever speechless that I can remember. To me he will forever be the cute little fun-loving freckle-face redheaded kid from next door.

I have a lot of memories of this truly special person. It seems like only yesterday that he Kirk and I were running around together. He was always the trickster. I remember one time when I was visiting a girl, he and Kirk put my rear wheels up on blocks so I couldn't leave, or another girl that I didn't care for that they talked into going and visiting my parents. There were other things as well. I wish I had stayed in touch but over the years time and miles had us grow away into our own lives. I thought of him whenever I travelled on the turnpike. I could see his house and thought " I ought to get over to see him" but unfortunately it never worked out. I learned a lot from him which over the years has helped me to become less timid and shy, and to enjoy life and those around me. I have and will always remember and think of him and you his family whenever I pass the places we went in those short years after high school until our lives took us down other paths. I thank God for allowing me to know Hutch.

I am truly at a loss for words at the passing of "Hutch". He was one of the few businessmen in my life who had my best interests in mind. I perhaps delt with him only one hour a year, and looked forward to that hour every year. He left a big impression on me as an honest and christian man, one who will always live on in my heart. Thank you Hutch for all you have done for me.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Hutch in person but enjoyed speaking to him on the phone when he called our office. We all will certainly miss hearing his friendly voice--and already do. He was a favorite caller around here! May God bless you and comfort you during this difficult time.

Karen and family. We are so very sorry to hear of the loss of Brian. As you know, Brian and I used to show horses together a long time ago, but I actually knew you Karen, much more. I share in your pain because we are still grieving over the loss of Tim. Please know I am here for you if you need anything. You have my email and if you need to talk, let me know. I am here and you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are actually on vacation this week and are in NC so I won't be able to come to visitation, but my thoughts are with you.
