Brian John Kestel, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2023, at the age of 54. Born on June 30, 1969, in Burns Flat, Oklahoma, Brian was the cherished son of Gary Kestel and JoAnn Ediger.
Brian, is known for his warm heart and will always be remembered for his kind and giving nature. He served proudly as a Signalman in the United States Navy on the USS Guadalcanal LP7 during the Persian Gulf War, demonstrating his unwavering patriotism and dedication to his country.
Outside of his professional life, Brian was a multi-talented individual with a passion for the arts. He expressed his creativity through drawing, painting and tattoo artistry. Leaving behind beautiful pieces that will be treasured by those lucky enough to possess them. Music was also a significant part of Brian's life, and he had a remarkable ability to play various instruments, bringing joy to others through his melodies. He even performed on the local stage in theater productions in his younger years.
Brian's caring and selfless nature was evident in his eagerness to lend a helping hand to those in need. Whether it was offering a listening ear or helping with everyday tasks, he touched the lives of many through his generosity.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, JoAnn and Earl Ediger of Cairo, Georgia. His father and stepmother, Gary and Karen Kestel of Rathdrum, Idaho. Sisters, Karin Beatty (Randy) of Cairo and Lara McCorkle (Bill) of Cairo, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews. Special friends, Sharon Stuckey and her son Levi.
