Brian LaMaster Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Doan & Mills Funeral Home on Jul. 29, 2024.
RICHMOND, Ind. – Brian LaMaster passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, July 7, 2024. He had struggled with heart problems his entire life.
Brian had a deep faith in God and his beliefs led his path in life. Brian practiced Ninjitsu for most of his life and loved the outdoors. He never met a stranger and was an avid believer in passing on his blessings to others and helped run the homeless ministry "Ninety-Nine for the One" which he ran with lifelong friend Sam Pegg. He loved skating at "The Skate" which is where he met many of his friends. The belief that he could make a difference in the lives of others made him a beacon of light to those whom he came in contact with during his life.
Brian and his sister KeLinda were adopted, and this made him a firm believer that family is not always blood, but who you loved. His willingness to help others is a testament to his faith, God, and his upbringing by his parents Robert and Dorothy LaMaster.
Brian is survived by his wife, Kelly Parks, son Adam LaMaster (Donna), stepson Terrance Parks, stepdaughter Lyndsey Parks, sisters; KeLinda LaMaster-Flory (Rodney), Angie Boyd, Tanya Wibby; brothers Darren Merritt and Pat Boyd (Jenny), stepdaughter Brittany Andrews and grandchildren Marley LaMaster, Gabriel Anderson, Bentlee, Cami and Colton Lear, nieces Abigale Flory, Sierra Sullivan, Tricia Boyd and Caeleigh Van Sickle; nephews Aleksander Flory and Connor Van Sickle.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy LaMaster, special family member Karen Boyd, brother Scott Bailey, and niece Katelyn McClosky.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Glenn Miller Park, Shelter #7 at 2pm followed by skating at The Skate in honor of Brian's love for skating.
