Brian Alan Lapthorn, 58, of Oxford, Ohio, passed away on November 21, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Jennifer and devoted father to Cameron and Collin. Brian was the son of Gail Eggleston (Paul) and the late William Lapthorn, brother to Kevin (Janet) and the late Bill (Andria), brother-in-law to Geoff and Debi McDonald, Jacob and Sherry Coons, and Wade Young. Brian was the fun and doting uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Brian graduated from Colerain High School in 1986 and then served his country honorably in the Marine Corps. After his service, he graduated from Xavier University and later earned an MBA. He built a successful career in sales working at Rumpke, RWD Technologies, Xerox, and most recently TiER1 Performance.
Brian met Jennifer while at Rumpke, and together they shared 26 years of marriage and adventure. He was deeply devoted to his family and happiest outdoors—fishing, hunting, camping, and cheering for the Buckeyes. Brian was an active member of Badin’s Board of Trustees, and a proud purple belt in Jiu Jitsu. He also served as a Scout Master and Cub Master, guiding his boys and their peers.
Brian will be remembered for his warmth, humor, toughness, and generosity. Family and friends are invited to gather for a Joyful Remembrance Service for Brian on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Center Pointe Christian Church at 1PM.
