Brian Martin

Lafayette: Brian Keith Martin was born on November 24,1971 to Celina Martin and the late Shelton Leopaul. He accepted the Lord at an early age and he loved his Trinity Church Family.
Brian departed this life on November 27, 2024 at 6:07a.m. at his home surrounded by his wife, children
and friends.
He attended Acadiana High School and the Career Center. He started working with his father in the crawfish and sugar cane fields. There was nothing he would not do for anyone. Brian was always a phone call away. He left a huge impact on everyone. Brian would always say, "Who you with", you better believe it, go get it and come back with it. Anywhere he would go you knew he was in the room because you could hear him coming. He loved barbecuing for his family and friends, loved family gathers and always playing with his adopted son Jace who would call him Poppie the joy of his life that kept him going. He had good advice and most of the stories you had to wonder about. Brian never let anything keep him from striving in spite of his health issues.
Brian accepted Christ at an early age and joined Cunningham C.M.E. Church in Rayne, LA. He later moved his membership to Trinity C.M.E. Church in Lafayette, LA. He was a member of the Male Chorus and Men's Ministry.
Brian was employed with the Acadiana Mall for several years as a supervisor then went on to work for the Town of Duson for seven years, City of Carencro for five years, and the Acadiana Rehabilitation Center for over eleven years. He was the caretaker of the church's cemetery, until he couldn't work anymore because of health reasons.
He met his wife Carolyn White-Martin in March of 1989 and eight years later on April 5, 1997 they became one and have been married for twenty -seven years and from their union they have four beautiful children and later adopted a son.
He leaves to cherish his loving wife Carolyn White-Martin and children Brent White( Lafayette, LA) Brice White (Waller, TX) Calyne (Kyndal Smith) Scott,, LA adopted son whom he loved dearly Jace Zachery (Opelousas,,LA) his mother Celina Martin one sister Hailey(Arthur) Charlot all of Lake Charles, LA two brothers Booker Martin. ( Lake Charles, LA) Ryan Martin (Scott, LA) one sister in law Lucinda B (Paul ) Broussard, Sr. ( Rayne, La) five brothers in law Robert White ( Chattanooga, TN) Jeffery(Sabrina) Charleston, NC Lonnie (Tameka) Cleveland, TN Joseph (Dorothy) Jones Jr. (Houston,TX) Bruce Jones( Houston, TX) his Godfather Gilbert Leopaul ( Ridge, LA) Godmother Joyce Broussard (Lafayette, LA) his godchild Cierra Charlot ( Duson, LA) and a host of nieces/great-nieces, nephews/great nephews, cousin, relatives, and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his son Brian White his father Shelton Leopaul brother Issac Martin three uncles, one aunt and his grandparents.
