Gone but never forgotten Mongo. Can´t believe it´s already been a year since you left us. Think of you often, a great friend, coworker and neighbor for so many years. You are and always will be missed by us and so many others my dear friend.

I worked with Brian. He lent a helping hand to me and showed me the ropes. On the hard days he was a kind voice to lift me up and a voice of encouragement. A gentle giant and a protector! Earth lost an angel. He will always be remembered.

We met Brian when he moved in next door and became a great friend and neighbor! We enjoyed many conversations over the fence. I´ll always remember this gentle giant, his love for our Lord, his family. I felt like he looked out for us

You will always be our Uncle Brian. Thank you for spreading the word of God at my school many years ago, and for the Bible you have given me. I will always cherish that. Your faith in The Lord has always been inspiring, and I know you are living in absolute paradise! Love you, Uncle Brian.

About 9 yrs ago we had our son´s class trip to Story Book Land. Before we walked out the house my 4 yr old goes to the basement and comes back saying that it smelled like gas down there. I went downstairs and sure enough it it did. Turned out that the hot water heater had a leak and was tagged by the gas company. I sent my wife to the trip while I tried to replace the hot water heater before they got back. I run to Home Depot by myself, picked up the tank and when I got the truck realized they it was too heavy for me to lift it into the truck´s bed. Long behold, Brian is walking into HD and seas me. Walks over to help me and as I´m about to grab one side of the box he says " move over". He Bear hugs the entire box, lifts it and puts it in the bed. Man, Mongo some strength!! Thanks to him I was able to get the water heater done before my wife and kids got home.
There wasn´t a day we didn´t share a laugh. Even on the worst days at work the entire platoon had some laughs.

Brian was a gentle giant who would help out anyone. I had the pleasure of meeting Brian in the 58th Session Police Academy and we spent 19 weeks together. He was always happy and most proud of his sons. We hung out a few times down here in South Carolina. It was great catching up with him. Gone way to early. Rest easy my friend

I had the pleasure of working in the town next to Brian. Whenever we needed assistance he was the first one there. Whenever passing each other on the street we would always meet up and chat. He was a cops cop and just his everyday demeanor was awesome. He defined what being a great human being is: kind, genuine, caring. Thank you Big dog. You will be missed brother

I met Brian in 1998 when i started working at the VCPD. I had the pleasure of working with Brian until he retired in 2021. He was definitely a gentle giant with a big heart. We had so many great times and laughed a lot both at work and outside of work. There are too many great memories to share. I know for a fact that he saved a lot of lives. I'm very thankful for having worked with Brian. I knew that I could always trust Brian and he knew he could trust me. We always had each other's backs. I'm definitely gonna miss him. RIP Mongo!

My mom and dad adopted an elderly dog, Fiona. Fiona had mammary tumors and had to be transported to the university of Pennsylvania. Fiona was not a tiny dog... Brian came to my parents house and helped to get Fiona in the vehicle to be transported. Also, when my dad had surgery Brian offered to help him by coming to the house daily to get him out of bed. Brian was an angel on earth. May his memory be a blessing.

My favorite memory of Brian, although many come to mind one in particular stands out to me. Me and Brian worked together at ventnor pd. The year he was promoted to Sgt he was assigned to my shift and was in charge of me. The pure pride I remember on his face finally being a supervisor and having his hard work rewarded after all those years, the smile on his face i will never forget. I remember he still was apprehensive about his shift he was assigned to but after a very short period of time and he came in one day and told us how our shift gave him pride in work again and how he felt reenergized during his last year or so of work. The laughs we shared during our shifts, especially midnights when we started getting tired and delirious, something I will never forget. I´m going to miss you brian, I´m honored to have shared a small piece of your time with you. I know how strong your faith was and I have no doubt your right where you always knew you would be.
