He was born on November 24, 1998, to Gladys Diaz and Jose Silva at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield, New Jersey. Brian was raised in Green Brook, New Jersey, where he resided for most of his life before moving to South Plainfield seven years ago.
Brian's unwavering faith in Jesus Christ was a cornerstone of his strength and hope throughout his journey. Through his faith, he believed his name was written in the Book of Eternal Life, providing him with immense comfort and assurance during his battle with cancer.
Brian graduated from Watchung Hills Regional High School and went on to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering from NJIT. Inspired by his mother and sister, who are in the nursing field, Brian decided to pursue a second degree in Nursing at Raritan Valley Community College.

I am deeply saddened to hear about Brian´s passing. He and I shared many wonderful memories during high school, especially our friendly competitions with different rhythm games during lunch. Brian´s spirit and determination always inspired me. I still remember the day when we graduated and hug each other saying goodbye. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and love ones during this incredibly difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I remember that Brian sat near me in my AP Calc BC class back in 2016-17. Me and my friend always had fun chatting and goofing off with him during class. He seemed like a good guy, very approachable and always in a good mood. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing after his battle with cancer, it really is a tragedy that such a cruel thing could happen to someone so young and full of life. My condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
