Brian Lee Storey, of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 23, 2024, in Stuart, Florida, at the age of 83.
Brian was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on November 18, 1940, a son of the late James Storey and Helen Storey.
Brian grew up and lived in the Vandergrift and Apollo areas of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Bell-Avon High School and, immediately after, proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Brian was the quintessential example of hard work and dedication, both in his profession as a steelworker/electrician and as a father to his two children, Jeff and John. His work ethic was unparalleled, often working long hours to ensure the comfort and security of his family.
Brian worked at the Akers National Roll Company in Avonmore, Pennsylvania, until his retirement.
Brian's commitment to his family extended beyond providing; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking with his sons.
He enjoyed running and competing in marathons with his wife, often receiving awards and accolades.
Brian and Nancy enjoyed spending time together traveling, ultimately settling down in Arizona near their son Jeff and, most recently, moving to Stuart, Florida, to be with their son John.
Brian leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 61 years, Nancy J. Storey; two sons, Jeffrey A. Storey (Roberta) of Buckeye, Arizona, and John A. Storey (Alyssa) of Hobe Sound, Florida; granddaughter Priscilla E. Storey; and two great-grandsons.
He is preceded in death by his brother, James Barry Storey. He is survived by his two siblings, Conrad Storey and Edwina Confer (Wayne).
