Brian M. Waddell, 44, of Wellman, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at Mercy One Des Moines Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. The service will be available via Livestream at the Beatty Peterseim Facebook and YouTube pages. The family will greet friends from noon until 3 PM on Saturday. Memorial funds will be designated to his children.
Brian Michael Waddell was born December 16, 1980, in Independence, MO, the son of Roger Shaw and Eva Dunaway Waddell. He attended Mid-Prairie High School. Brian was a mechanic, most recently employed by Greiner Tire in Washington. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, cooking, reading books and being with his children. Brian was a man of God that enjoyed worshiping the Lord.
Survivors include his mother Eva Kolosiek of Wellman; four children: Laela Waddell, Landon Humble, Benjamin Waddell and William Waddell; four siblings: Brenda (Kim) Barthelman, Hallie Shay, twin brother Brad Waddell and sister Holly Nash.
Preceding Brian in death was his father and grandparents.
