Brian Patrick Westhoff, 46, of Brighton passed away in his home on April 30, 2024. He was born on June 21, 1977, to Kathy Westhoff of Wiggins, CO. He was brought home to the farm where his mom was raised; he was quickly adored by his Gram, Grandpa and many aunts and uncles as he was the first grandchild. He attended Wiggins School District. In junior high he participated in wrestling and football; he went to districts in the spelling bee, and he won numerous hoop shoots sponsored by the Elks. In high school he played baseball and basketball. He also won the local and district FFA creed speaking contest which begins with the words "I believe in the future of farming ". He was always interested in farming and working the fields with his Uncle John and his grandpa. During high school he partnered with his Uncle John to form Westhoff Windrowing. He worked for Creighton Neufeld doing custom harvesting and continued up until a few years ago. He graduated High School in 1995 from Wiggins High School. He continued his love of farming in college at NJC where he graduated with an agronomy degree.
He would then go on to fulfil his passion for poker in Blackhawk where he would become a poker dealer. It was there that he met Kelly O'Connell who he would go on to marry in 2005. In 2006 he became a father to Patrick and Beau. In 2007 he went to work for Roggen Farmers Elevator as a chemical applicator and assistant agronomist. Brian and his brother Brent had may conversations over their fierce competition in "The Valley" as Brent is also a chemical salesman. He worked for the elevator until his passing.
Brian had a love for many things including his family, his children, hockey (especially the Avalanche), video games, attending comic-cons, playing poker, Disney parks, Star Wars, Indiana Jones and traveling. Brian's passion for farming was almost as intense as his dislike for people.
Brian is survived by his mother and stepdad Joe and Kathy Kopetzky, his children Patrick and Beau Westhoff, his brother Brent (Jenna) Westhoff, his nephews Banks and Miles (god son) Westhoff, many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his special friend Melissa Nelson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Vernon and Marie Westhoff and Uncle John Westhoff.
