Brian A. Wolberg, 74, of Wild Rose, formerly of Scandinavia, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023. He was born on December 15, 1948 in Iola to the late Harlan and Margaret (Aldridge) Wolberg. Brian was a graduate of Iola-Scandinavia High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Some of Brian's fondest memories were of summers spent as a boy on the Wolberg family farm, helping his uncles with chores, fishing in the Iola Mill Pond, and catching snapping turtles. Brian loved animals and owned several pets over the years. His last cat, Misty, held a special place in his heart.
Family was important to Brian. He loved spending time with the four sons he shared with former wife Penny. His boys will forever remember his "Dad jokes." He derived great joy from his three young grandchildren whom he loved to take fishing. Along with Penny, he had love and a place in his heart for the rest of the Watson family, Judy, Doug, Sandy, Beth, Kathy, and Debi. Later in life, Brian reconnected with his first wife Marianne. They spent precious time together catching up and making new memories. Brian's family is grateful for the loving care and support Marianne gave him.
Brian is survived by his children: Shane Wolberg, Devin Wolberg, Cuyler Wolberg, and Brett Wolberg, Grandchildren: Nikolai, Vada and Remmick. Sister: Pamela (Charles) Stiles, Brothers: Ronald (Valerie) Wolberg, and Michael (Tamie Wanty) Wolberg. He was preceded in death by father, Harlan Wolberg, mother, Margaret Wolberg.
A Graveside Service at the Iola Riverside Community Cemetery will be held at a later time.
