Leland Hermanson Obituary
Leland graduated from Iola-Scandinavia High School in 1963. He was known to be a walker. Leland would be seen walking on the side of the road to several neighboring towns and special events. Leland often found a rich inner life and developed a great satisfaction in simple pleasures like walking, observing nature, and quiet pursuits. His love for watching westerns, listening to music, and observing cats aligned well with his solitary lifestyle.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, Sister-in-law: Myrtle Hermanson and special friend: Carrie (Joe Barden) Pennebecker-Barden. He was preceded in death by a Brother: Robert Hermanson.
A Graveside Service for Leland will be held on Friday, January 18, 2025 1:00 PM, at Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery in Iola, with Rev. Dale Wilson officiating.
The family would like to thank the Manawa Community Nursing Home for the excellent care, that was provided to Leland.
Voie Funeral Home of Iola assisted the family with arrangements.
