Voie Funeral & Cremation Care - IolaRobert Steven Prochnow, 77, of Ogdensburg passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 19, 2025. He was born on January 20, 1948 in Waupaca to the late Edward and Pauline (Sanders) Prochnow.
Bob's chosen career was in carpentry and it was a career that spanned 40 years. He was an avid golfer and sports fan and he loved the Packers! Socializing with family and friends was something he loved to do. Bob so enjoyed all family visits to their rural home. Something very special to Bob was being a part of his grandsons life as well as cheering him on in any and all sports he participated in. Grandpa was his number one fan!
Bob and Jackie enjoyed a wonderful trip to Italy and he always said that was very special to him. Upon retiring, Jackie and Bob enjoyed some winter months in Florida until his health would not allow. Bob was on dialysis for his last few years but was very upbeat and took it in his stride. He would always remark that the staff at Fresenius took great care of him.
He is survived by his significant other of 23 years, Jackie Burns, as well as by his Siblings, Dennis Prochnow (Janet) Edward Prochnow (Jane Stark) Thomas Prochnow (Jane), Paula Duncan (Allen) William Prochnow (Deborah) and many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as extended family members Matthew Burns, Monica Aasen, Michael Schafer, Jessica Schafer and grandson Daniel Burns.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Voie Funeral Home in Iola, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 2-4 PM.
