John Prochnow

John R. Prochnow, 60, passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2026.
John was born in Akron on May 21, 1965 to the late Jack & Doris Prochnow and was a 1983 graduate of Stow High School, and a lifetime Stow resident. He worked for the City of Hudson Parks Division for nearly 15 years. John enjoyed traveling with his girlfriend Tina, fishing, and football. John loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson Brooks.In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife Denise and his sister Cynthia Prochnow. He is survived by his children Stephani (Andrew) Ramstetter, Sydney (Alex Beaver) Prochnow, & Sara (Kellie) Prochnow-Shukin; his girlfriend Tina Raymond and his beloved grandson Brooks, along with one more on the way; brothers Mark (Virginia), Tom (Elizabeth), Michael (Barbara), Jeff (Susan), Steven (Imelda), & Eric (Sally) Prochnow, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousons, and friends.The family will receive friends on Friday, February 6, from 5-7 pm at the Anthony & Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Rd. in Stow.
