Thomas (Tommy) James Boyle, 54, of Iola went to be with his loving Savior on September 2, 2024 at ThedaCare Appleton with his family and close friends by his side. Tommy was born on November 2, 1969 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton, Wisconsin to Thomas Boyle and Carol (Olson) Boyle. Tommy married Heather (Shanklin) Boyle on August 11, 1990 in Iola, Wisconsin at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. After battling multiple health issues for many years, Tommy's body was tired and he was ready to go home to be with Jesus.
Tommy graduated from Iola-Scandinavia High School in 1988. He spent 33 years working for the Waupaca Foundry where he retired in July of 2023. Tommy was an all-around amazing athlete, but his true passion was golf. He won multiple club championships and golfed up until a few weeks before his passing. Even when he wasn't physically able to golf, he had Heather drive him by the golf course to "check it out" and "check on" the conditions of the course. He also enjoyed fishing, especially at his special place in Rhinelander on Shepard Lake. He was a diehard Packers and Badgers fan and never missed a game. His greatest love was his friends and family.
Tommy is survived by his wife Heather Boyle; children, Tyler (Joanna) Boyle, Bryant (Lanna) Boyle, Holly Boyle; grandchildren Teegan, Taytum, Natalie, Mallory, Brooks, and baby boy Boyle coming November 2024; parents Tom and Carol Boyle; father and mother-in-law, Judy (Karl) Driebel; sisters Patty (John) Lashua, Chris (Don) Aasen, Sister-in-laws Mandy (Lucas) Kriesel, Megan (Jenner) Driebel; Great grandmother-in-law, Ruby Shanklin; nieces and nephews, Jenna (Sean) Graham, Jake Baldwin, Taylor (Kale) Duchow, Isaac (Mandy) Lashua, Amanda (Kyle) Aasen, Kjersti (Tim) Aasen, Scotty Aasen, Mason and Landon Kriesel, Gracie Forseth and Beckett Gullixon. Great nieces and nephews Artie, Drew, and Annie Graham, Owen and Louis Duchow; Two great nieces due in October and January; fur baby Dolly.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: James and Iola Olson, Del and Dolly Boyle.
The Funeral Service for Tommy will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Iola with Rev. Dennis Olson officiating. Visitation will be held at Voie Funeral Home in Iola from 3 PM to 8 PM on Friday September 6, 2024 and at the church on Saturday from 9 AM to 10:45 AM. Please wear appropriate golf attire to honor Tom. The Funeral Service will be live streamed on the Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Iola's Facebook page.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at ThedaCare-Appleton for their loving care of Tommy in his last days. They would also like to thank Iola EMS, Gold Cross, and Waupaca Sherriff's Department.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial donations will be accepted.

I met Tom playing pickup basketball in iola either at the high school or middle school. He was always happy and so fun to play with. I enjoyed our talks in between games and during games. He was a good player but he was always a joy to play with sharing a laugh and never letting competition override his good nature. He was one of the first people to extend a hand and a welcome when I first moved to iola. When I think back at my time in Iola, Tommy is always one of first to come into my mind. May God bless you and your family. You are truly one of the best
