Graveside Service for Brice Barrere, 89, of Ekalaka will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Beaver Lodge Cemetery with Pastor Steve DeFord and Jonathan DeFord officiating.

Brice passed away on August 1, 2025 at Dahl Memorial in Ekalaka.

Lindley Brice Barrere was born on May 28, 1936 in Ekalaka, MT to W.E. and Ollie (Schults) Barrere. He grew up and attended various schools in CA and a few years at Schoffield Country School, Carter County High School and later completed his education with home schooling and received his GED. Brice returned to working and helping his father on the ranch located west of Ekalaka on the Beaver Flats and Powder River Breaks. Brice met and the married Sharon Johnson on March 29, 1961 in Sidney, MT. To this union came William “Bill”, Lance John and Colleen Kay. Together they worked on the ranch along with various other jobs at different locations.

Brice loved his God, family, ranching, horses, guns and a Model R John Deere tractor. He found satisfaction in visiting with and helping his neighbors. For the past ten years Brice loved working and helping with the Training in Truth Ministry in Ekalaka. This program has grown and changed many hearts and lives.

Brice is loved and will be greatly missed by his wife of 64 years Sharon of Ekalaka; sons, William “Bill” Barrere of Ekalaka, Lance (Dianna) Barrere of Ekalaka; daughter, Colleen Barrere of Miles City, MT; grandchildren, Mya Yonika, Tess Schmidt; 5 great grandchildren.

He is preceded by his parents, W.E. and Ollie; brother, Ervin Earl “Spike” Barrere; sister, Virgie Leonardo.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be given to Training in Truth Ministry of Ekalaka (PO Box 192, Ekalaka, MT 59324) or the organization of your choice.
