Brinkley Morgan Thomas passed away on September 18, 2023 in Columbia, Louisiana at the age of 43. He was born on October 30, 1979 in West Monroe, Louisiana and grew up in Linville, Louisiana.
Brinkley was a carpenter by trade specializing in cabinetry. He loved the outdoors and hunting, and spending time with family and friends. He graduated from Linville High School in 1998 where he played baseball and basketball.
He was a very friendly and easy going person and always had a smile on his face. He did not meet a stranger and was always joking and laughing with people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John M Thomas I, and Wilmur Cox Roberson and grandparents Willard and Irma Cox and Oliver "Buddy" and Winford Thomas and special friend, Melanie Gray.
Left to cherish his memories are one daughter, Savannah Grace Whorton, two brothers, John M "Mikey" Thomas, II (Renae) of Columbia, Louisiana and Ben Thomas (Cortney)of Marion, Louisiana, two sisters Anjiela Rushing (Eric) of Mangham, Louisiana and Candy Cummings (Jason) of Marion, Louisiana and a host of nieces and nephews as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Thomas, Johnathon Calhoun, Ray Thomas, Jason Cummings, David Trichell Sr, and David Trichell Jr.
Honorary pallbearers are John M Thomas, II, Ben Thomas, Jesse Snell, Scotty Snell, and Jared Bowen.
Ronnie Watkins and JR Wells will officiate the services.
Services are being held at 3:00 Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, Louisiana. The visitation is at 2pm until time of service at the funeral home.. Interment will follow at Gwin Memorial Cemetery 108 Bakerk St.,Mangham, Louisiana.
