Brittany DeVarney Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stephen C. Gregory and Son Cremation Service on Jan. 19, 2026.
Brittany DeVarney, 36, of Colchester, Vermont, passed away on Friday January 9th, 2026 due to health complications. She was born on September 19, 1989 in Burlington VT. Brittany brought warmth and compassion into the lives of all who knew her.

From a young age, Brittany had a deep passion for caring for others. She dedicated much of her life to supporting individuals with special needs and the elderly. Her caregiving journey began close to home – working many years with clients who lived in her parent's home. Her devotion extended to family as well; she lovingly cared for her grandma Tuttle after the passing of her grandfather.

Brittany's greatest joy came from being a mom. She Adored her three Beautiful children: Alyssa (18), Kayson (14), and Hannah (6). Her love for them was boundless and unwavering. Family was at the heart of everything Brittany did. She cherished time spent outdoors with loved ones – whether it was relaxing at the beach, enjoying family cookouts by the pool or embarking on day trips to Santa's Village and Six Flags. Among her favorite destinations were Maine and Myrtle Beach, where she found peace and happiness surrounded by those she held dear.

She is survived by her three beloved children. Her parents Steve & Diane Tuttle, siblings Karen Willey and her husband Scott, DJ Tuttle and his wife Elena, Sonya Tuttle, and Anthony Tuttle. As well as two special nephews, Jaxon & Owen Tuttle. Brittany also leaves behind many friends, aunts, uncles, cousins and companion Howard Ford.

Brittany was predeceased by her grandparents Chet & Joyce DeVarney, Marvin & Janet Tuttle along with her very special Aunt Sharron DeRosia.

There will be a service for Brittany on Saturday 24, 2026 at United Church of Colchester, 900 Main Street Colchester VT 05446 at 1:00PM with a reception and rememberance of life immediately following. All are welcome.

So sorry to hear about Brittany. She was a beautiful lady. So sweet and kind. She spent many days with Betty Lou, taking her out and having fun especially going to D&D. We are so sorry for your loss.
