Brittney Marie Hoffman, affectionately known as Britt Britt & BB, of York, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 25, 2024, at the young age of 31. Born in Maryland on December 18, 1992, to Saundra Schroeder and Carl Hoffman, Brittney was a radiant presence in the lives of all who knew her. Above all, Brittney treasured her role as a devoted mother to her three-year-old son, Tobias Hoffman. Known for her warm heart, luminous smile, subtle nod of her head, and "Yep," upon entering a room, she garnered the affection and admiration of everyone fortunate enough to be touched by her presence.
Brittney's career involved working for a local human service agency that provides homes for adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. This role was unusual but befitting for someone who was also diagnosed with autism. Her helpful nature extended beyond her job, as she spent many hours feeding any stray cat that walked by her door, reflecting her love for cats and commitment to their welfare.
Brittney's hobbies were as diverse as they were heartfelt. She was an enthusiastic animal lover, vintage merchandise zealot, novice gardener, and a highly skilled artist, deriving inspiration from various forms of expression. Whether through caring for animals or creating art, Brittney's hobbies truly reflected her passion for life and the world around her.
Sadly, Brittney's journey was cut short, and she is now reunited with her maternal great-grandparents, Robert and Helen McNair, maternal uncle, Ben Johnson and paternal grandparent, Mary Hoffman who predeceased her. Her spirit, however, lives on in the hearts of those she left behind. Brittney is deeply missed by her son, her parents, and step-parents Harold Schroeder and Helen Hoffman, her siblings Kayleigh and Zachary, and many family members and friends who were blessed to have known her.
A celebration of Brittney's life will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., of East York, 3670 E Market St., York, PA 17402, where we will share memories and honor her unique heritage. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Autism York in Brittney's memory.
Brittney's life, though brief, was a beacon of love, joy, and kindness. She will forever be remembered for her radiant spirit and the positive impact she had on everyone she met.

I am so sorry for your loss. Brittney was always a wonderful young lady.
We always loved when she would come down to visit Bobbie. I remember one time she went along to Aroma Buffet with us and a ton of the others. I couldn't believe how much one young lady could eat. You are in our thoughts and our prayers.

I met Brittney at GSK years ago. She was fun to work with, never a dull moment. Good times with her there. Then she became a mom & I was so happy for her. I´m just so sorry this happened to you. You are going to be missed more than words can say. God Bless Tobias and your family going through this difficult time! God takes the good ones and that you were. He has another great Angel. You will be missed by EVERYONE that knew you, Brittney!
