Brooke Marie Johnson

Brooke Marie Johnson, age 34, of Massillon, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a period of declining health.
Brooke was born on September 30, 1991, in Akron, Ohio, to Brett Wallace and Joyce (Hixenbaugh) August. She graduated from Waynedale High School and attended Wayne College. On May 11, 2013, she married the love of her life, Cody James Johnson, in Apple Creek.
Family was at the heart of everything Brooke did. Her husband and children, Lillian Rene and Mason James, were her greatest joy, and she devoted herself to creating a warm and loving home for them.
Creative and artistic by nature, Brooke loved exploring new crafts and hobbies. She especially enjoyed crocheting and diamond painting-sometimes spending more than 40 hours on a single piece. She found happiness in life's simple pleasures, like trips to the zoo, listening to her favorite Taylor Swift or Jonas Brothers songs, and finding anything in her favorite color-pink.
Brooke will be remembered for her selfless and giving spirit. She had a servant's heart and was always eager to help others, whether through a handmade gift, a shared meal, or a kind word. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Cody; their children, Lillian Rene and Mason James; her mother, Joyce (Rex Johnson) August; her father, Brett (Josie) Wallace; her brother, Brent (Jennifer) August; sisters, Brandy August and Brynna August; mother- and father-in-law, Deanna (Timothy) Johnson; brother-in-law, Logan (Rebecca) Johnson; sister-in-law, Kaitlyn Johnson; and her beloved nieces and nephews-Everest, Aspen, and Atticus August; Averey and Callista Rynerson; Zailane August; Jenna August; and Charlotte and Evelyn Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Shelly Wallace; maternal grandparents, Frank and Frances Hixenbaugh; and paternal grandparents, Basil and Donna Wallace.
Friends may call on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville.
Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Sparks officiating. Burial will take place at Dalton Cemetery.
