Bruce E. Davis

Bruce E. Davis age 72, of Whitesboro, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2022, at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born on January 12, 1950 in Utica, a son of the late William and Sadie (Tuttle) Davis. Bruce was a 1968 graduate of Whitesboro Central Schools, later attending MVCC earning an electrical engineering degree, in 1970.
In 1972 he was married to Cindy Coe. Bruce worked for a number of years at Freihofer's. In 1985 He started B-Dry System, which he owned and operated successfully for over 35 years until retiring the business to his sons.
Bruce was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, until its closing, as well as a member of Hope Alliance Church.
He enjoyed spending time at his camp in Forestport, fishing, and was an avid golfer playing on several leagues throughout the summer. During the winter he spent his time bowling and was inducted into Utica's Bowling Hall of Fame in 2014; and loved playing soccer as a youth and throughout his school years.
Bruce is survived by his two sons; Brian Davis, and his children; Madison, Riley, and Jillian Davis; Brandon (Christina) Davis; and their children, Brodie, and Olivia Davis; his brothers, Bill Davis, and Don (Jean) Davis; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special friend, Barb Smith, with whom he shared many wonderful memories over the years. He was predeceased by a brother Tom Davis and a nephew Don Davis Jr.
The family would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care for the care compassion they showed Bruce and his family, as well as Pastor Andy for his spiritual counsel.
Friends are invited to call on the family from 11 to 1 on January 14, at Hope Alliance Church, 4291 Middle Settlement Rd, New Hartford, NY, a service will immediately follow.
