Bruce Alan Farmer, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 15, 2023 at Eskinazi Health. Bruce was born on March 14,1950 in Indianapolis to the late Charles Eugene and Dorothy Jean (Peachey) Farmer. He married Bonnie Louise (Vice) Farmer on November 28, 1981.
Bruce was a 1968 graduate of Indiana School for the Deaf in Indianapolis. He went on to work for Indiana Bell in Indianapolis as a Mailroom Clerk for 25 plus years.
As a young boy, Bruce attended Saint Marks in Plainfield where he served as an Acolyte. He was also a member of the Greater Indianapolis Deaf Club.
Bruce enjoyed all sports including: bowling, basketball, football, baseball, softball, cornhole, bingo, swimming, euchre and many others.
Many people would characterize him as warm, friendly, an animal lover, one that lived life to the fullest, one that could light up a room, someone that never knew a stranger, and one that treated everyone with love.
Bruce is survived by his three sons: Joshua Jones (Danielle) of Kokomo, Jeremy Farmer (Dixie) of Texas and Jonathan Farmer (Katie) of Indianapolis; four siblings: sister, Sandy Filipovich (Dan) of Indianapolis, brother, James E. "Jef" Farmer (Dianne) of Camby, Charles David Farmer (Karen) of Indianapolis and sister, Lucinda "Cindy" Schofield (Jim) of Indianapolis; sister in law, Debbie Farmer of Nineveh; seven grandchildren: Keirra Farmer of Indianapolis, Kiah Scott of Kokomo, Joshua Jones Jr. of Kokomo, Isabella Farmer of Texas, Brody Farmer of Texas, Lukas Farmer of Indianapolis and Garrett Bradley of California.
Bruce is preceded in death by his wife; parents; and brother, Ralph E. Farmer
