Bruce M Gilbert Jr., 67, of Hodgenville, passed away Wednesday April 16, 2025 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.He was born in Baltimore to Bruce Gilbert and Margaret Bauernschub. He was a retired army veteran and factory worker. He was a big fan of the Baltimore Orioles baseball team and enjoyed American history and trivia.He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Mark Gilbert, Sr., and mother, Margaret Amelia Bauernschub.He is survived by his sister, Diane Louise Cook of Baltimore, MD, his two brothers, Paul Charles Gilbert of Hurlock, MD, and Scott William Gilbert of Baltimore, MD, his two daughters, Ashton C (Jeffrey) Ray of Elizabethtown, KY, and Megan J (Derek) Ray of Elizabethtown, KY, and his three grandchildren Corey Miller, Abigail Philpott, and Danny RayMemorial service will be at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, KY on April 29 at 12:00 pm. Burial will be held the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.Visitation will be from 11:00 pm to 12:00 pm at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, KY.Condolences may be expressed on-line at www.manakeefuneralhome.com
