In Loving Memory of Bruce King Tong Leung
September 19, 1954 – August 15, 2025
Bruce King Tong Leung, a beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Bruce was born on September 19, 1954, in Hong Kong and immigrated to the United States with his family when he was 8 years old. He was predeceased by his parents Yim Fong and Yan Leung. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Hong Luo; his children, Lisa (Chris) Schneider, Rob Leung, Michelle (Noore) Kadri, and Kate Leung; and his six grandchildren-Natalie, Christian & Mirabelle Schneider, Robert Leung, and Zane & Mina Kadri. He was a beloved brother to Nancy (Jerry) Wallerstein, Bob (Marites) Leung, Mary Withers, and Bill (Janice) Leung. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Bruce was a Professor of Accounting at City College of San Francisco for almost 40 years and a Certified Public Accountant. In his spare time, he loved reading, photography, watching kung fu and sci-fi movies, and weapons. He had an impressive collection of knives, swords, and other weapons and was never without a pocketknife. Like his favorite superhero, Batman, Bruce was fiercely protective of those he loved.
As Bruce Wayne once said,
"A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know the world hadn't ended."
- The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
Bruce was that kind of hero - a rock for his family, a supportive friend, and a mentor to his students.
A ceremony to honor his life will be held on August 25, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Cypress Lawn, 1370 El Camino Real, Colma, CA 94014. All are welcome to celebrate his life.
Bruce will be deeply missed. May he rest in peace, knowing how deeply he was loved and how brightly he will be remembered.
