Bruce Douglas Leach

Bruce Douglas Leach Of Londonderry, NH, formerly of Chelmsford, MA Bruce Douglas Leach of Londonderry, New Hampshire, formerly of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor J. (Pagano) Leach, with whom he would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on June 26, 2026. Born in Chelmsford, MA, Bruce was the son of the late Merle Leach and Elizabeth (Leslie) Leach. He was a graduate of Chelmsford High School, Class of 1953, where he played for the football team wearing jersey number 18. Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Bruce previously worked for V.H. Stone of North Chelmsford, then owned the Westford Package Store, and later went on to work for and retire from King Printing of Lowell where he enjoyed making deliveries in Boston. He was a member of American Legion Post 20 of Woodsville, NH, the H.E. Fletcher Club of Westford, MA, and was a life member of the Chelmsford Lodge of Elks No. 2310. In his free time, Bruce enjoyed gardening and sports but above all else Bruce loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Eleanor, he is survived by his daughters, Lisa Eldridge of North Chelmsford, MA, and her longtime partner Daniel Scruton of Palmer, MA, and Alison Leach of North Chelmsford, MA; his seven grandchildren; Derek Eldridge and his wife Kathy of Tyngsborough, MA, Drew Eldridge and his wife Shannon of Bow, NH, Jeffrey Leach of New Hampshire, Ashley Leach of Maine, David Leach and his wife Hunter of Texas, Connor McLaughlin and his wife Tori of Nashua, NH and Bobby Tower of Lowell, MA. He also leaves behind six great-grandchildren; Sebastian Eldridge, Camden Eldridge, Kennedy Eldridge, Stevie Eldridge, Keira Eldridge, and Harper Leach. Bruce was also survived by his daughter-in-law Cindy Leach of Maine, sisters-in-laws Geraldine Pagano of Dracut, MA, and Donna Denny and her husband Bill of Florida, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Douglas Leach, son-in-law Steven Eldridge, and brother Ronald Leach.
Funeral Notice Visitation for Bruce Leach will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. -12 Noon at Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex Street, N. Chelmsford, MA 01863. A funeral service in the funeral home to immediately follow at 12 Noon.
