A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM prior to the service. Bruce was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Peggy McDaniel, who he met in high school, son-in-law Eric Wilson, sister Donna "Marie" McDaniel, and brother Jacob "Ray" McDaniel. He is survived by his daughters, Lezly Dorman Dutton (Scott) of Conyers, GA., and Wendy Wilson of Loganville, GA; his significant other of 8 years, Lynn Parks of Gainesville, GA; brother, Gene McDaniel (Judy) of Loganville, GA; his grandchildren, who he was very proud of and loved very much, Ashley Dorman, Loganville, GA, Dustin Dorman (Michelle), Ormond Beach, FL, Reagan Wilson Freeman (Petey), Loganville, GA. Bruce also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews, and his favorite cousins that he grew up with as a child and has many memories of the fun times they spent together that he often spoke fondly about. Bruce was born at Joan Glancy Hospital in Duluth, GA to Harold and Inez McDaniel, Lawrenceville, GA. He attended Berkmar High School, Lilburn, GA and Central Gwinnett High School, Lawrenceville, GA, graduating in 1968. Bruce was a very dedicated and successful Master Barber. He started Barber School in 1965 and had been cutting hair for almost 60 years. He started work at Embry Hills Barber Shop, Tucker, GA on April 1, 1971 and became the owner in 1998 and closed Embry Hills in 2024, deciding not to renew his 5-year lease at the age of 75. In 2024-2025 he worked part-time for Brockett Square Barbershop. Bruce was happiest when he was talking to his customers and over the years, he became good friends with many. Bruce was the most hardworking person. He was a true workhorse and a jack of all trades, who never stopped working at work or at home and he always had a story to tell. He had a passion for animals, collecting rocks, going to gem shows, coin collecting, attending gun shows, bee keeping, cooking, working in the yard, feeding the homeless outside his barber shop and spending his last years wanting to retire, but he was never truly able to do that. He was also a licensed Ham Radio operator. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers at this difficult time, as well as a special thank you to Adam Turner, our pastor at Corinth Christian Church, who said the last prayer over Bruce before he departed this world on to be with his Heavenly Father.
