After purchasing my house, everything that wasn't covered by the home inspection (and a few that were) started to break, fall apart or generally not work so I had very limited funds to make repairs since they all came at once. One of the things that broke was the drywall in my shower when it was being cleaned. Thankfully my sweet cousin worked at a tile store and arranged to have the work done and tile purchased at a very reduced cost. Now I'll think of him every time I take a shower!

He was fiercely loyal and family meant everything!

Bruce was my hero. He was 6 years older than me and of course, he was much bigger than me. I had problems with a bully every day when I tried to walk home and, after I came home crying yet again, Bruce went to find my bully and convince him that he didn't want to mess with me anymore - and it worked!

Being average size, I became a Gator lineman with Coach Graves in 69. Coach Dickey decided we needed some bigger guys on the front line. Well, Bruce fit that order for sure! His heart was just as big! As a team mate he always had a smile (not on the field!), and something good to say.
Years later, Bruce would visit my Doll Construction office where we would swap stories of our time as a Gator, and I purchased a ton of tile!
During trips to Gatorville for Letterman gatherings, if Bruce was there, he always greeted me with that big smile and a bigger handshake & hug!
All my best to Bruce's awesome family. What a great man he was! I will truly miss Bruce.

Bruce was strong, quick for his size, determined, he improved Gator Football. As a Senior in 1974 playing defensive tackle everyday at practice I asked myself Where's Bruce? Then I avoided a big man collision.
Bless his family. They had a good one.
Sincerity, Clint Griffith.
