Bruce Spitz, 81, of Sun City Center, Florida passed away April 23, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital South in Riverview, FL.
Bruce was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and raised in Detroit, MI. He is a graduate of Wayne State University and received his Mater in Public Administration from George Washington University. He worked in the Peace Corps in Colombia, South American and was employed by the State of Minnesota, the US Department of Health and Human Service and the American Red Cross.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Eve Spitz and a brother, Stephen Spitz. He is survived by his companion of 27 years Judith Burns, his son Matthew Spitz of Durham, North Carolina, his daughter Sarah Spitz of Appomattox, VA, a sister-in-law Helene Spitz of Detroit, Mi, and grandchildren Phillp Grossnickle, Hailey Shelton, Brody Manksi and Ozzy Manske.
Bruce was a very loving, caring companion. He kept us with current events and enjoyed watching the local Tampa Rays and Bucs.
