Augusta-Bruce Dean Unangst passed away on September 23, 2024 at the age of 77 due to long term health issues.
Bruce was born on April 9, 1947 to Clinton and Alma (Peggy) Unangst in Allentown PA.
He was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran. Bruce also worked numerous jobs in the Augusta area including Clark Buick for many years. He retired from the Togus Veterans Administration in 1996. He was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed his routine visits to Western View Golf for many years.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marsha; his brother Barry Unangst & wife Roxanne of New Market, VA; step-daughter, Kristina & husband Lee Gibbs of Culpeper, VA; sister-in-law Joan Williams of Winthrop; five grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Bruce is predeceased by his parents, his son Eric Unangst, and beloved Aunt Evie. The family takes comfort in knowing that Bob and Henry are waiting for him on the first tee.
Visiting hours celebrating Bruce's life will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church Street, Augusta, ME.
