Bruce Wilhelm Obituary
He was born in Defiance, Ohio on October 13, 1958, to the late Benjamin and Mary (Bauer) Wilhelm. Bruce was a 1977 graduate of Defiance High School.
Bruce was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He worked as a Regional Plant Manager at Metal Management (formerly Isaacs) for 35 years, and most recently at Clemens Mobile Welding. Bruce was a hard worker and had an outstanding work ethic. He treasured his family and made sure everyone was taken care of. He adored his granddaughter and loved spoiling her. Bruce was committed to giving back to his community and his church. He will be sadly missed by his family and many good friends.
Bruce is survived by his children, Nicholas (Kayla) Wilhelm and Andrea Friesner, his granddaughter, Aurora Wilhelm, and siblings; Ben (Barb) Wilhelm, Michelle Brown, Mark (Lori) Wilhelm, Barry Wilhelm, Michael (Vicki) Wilhelm and Matthew (Melanie) Wilhelm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Mary Wilhelm.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson-Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street) in Defiance. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 23 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Fr. Kevin McGraw officiating.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Food Pantry. Online condolences can be given at www.Schafferfh.com.
