With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Bryan Nerren Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and faithful servant of God, who entered his eternal home on July 12, 2025, in Shelbyville, Tennessee. He was 64 years old.
Bryan's life was marked by unwavering faith, selfless service, and a deep love for people. For 26 years, he faithfully pastored the International House of Prayer in Shelbyville, pouring his heart into ministry both locally and globally. His passion for missions led him to travel the world, sharing the hope of the Gospel and impacting countless lives with the love of Christ.
He was a man of wisdom, kindness, and strength-a pillar in his community, a mentor to many, and a friend to all. Whether preaching from the pulpit, leading mission teams across the globe, or offering quiet counsel to those in need, Bryan lived out his calling with humility and grace.
Throughout his life, Bryan founded the Asian Children's Education Fellowship, served as President for the Bedford County Rotary Club and Bedford County Ministerial Association, and he served as a board member for - United Way, City & County Zoning Commission, Bedford County FEMA, International Prayer Ministries, and Nepali Christian Children's Education Fellowship. He also volunteered for Leadership Bedford and various other initiatives in Bedford County.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rhonda; his children, Kevin (Heather) and Laura; his grandchildren, Grant, Preston, and Bennett; his parents, Robbie Barnett and Ben Nerren; his brothers, Barry Nerren and Brad Nerren; his sister, Beverly Hudson; and a host of spiritual sons and daughters who will carry on his legacy of faith and love.
Bryan's life was a living testimony of faith in action. While he will be deeply missed, his legacy will continue through the lives he touched and the mission he so passionately pursued.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 19th at the International House of Prayer Ministries, 865 Union St, Shelbyville, TN 37160. Visitation begins at 11:00 a.m., with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to Asian Children's Education Fellowship, continuing Bryan's lifelong dedication to ministry and outreach
