Bryan Matthew Newsom, age 41, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in Abilene, Texas. He was born on December 13, 1983, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Aaron Newsom and Jayne (Pool) Newsom.
Bryan grew up in Weatherford and graduated from Weatherford High School in 2002. In 2012, he met the love of his life, Jennifer, and within nine months they were married. Together they built a life filled with love and raised two daughters who were the center of his world.
A hardworking and dedicated member of the Ironworkers Union 263, Bryan took great pride in his craft and the friendships he made along the way. In his free time, he enjoyed fly fishing, collecting baseball and Pokemon cards, fixing things, and remodeling his home - hobbies that reflected his patience, craftsmanship, and steady nature.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Preston and Dorothy Newsom, and Ervin and Tressie Pool.
Bryan is survived by his wife, Jennifer Newsom of Weatherford, Texas; daughters, Brooklyn and Julie Newsom; parents, Aaron and Jayne Newsom; sister and brother-in-law, Lacie and Matt Bullard; and two nephews, Camden and Gage Bullard. He will also be deeply missed by extended family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
A memorial service to honor Bryan’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
