With profound sorrow and deep love, we announce the passing of Bryan Stuck, a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, who went to his heavenly home on May 15, 2025, at the age of 42. Bryan was born on September 8, 1982, in Waltham, Massachusetts, and moved with his family to Florida at 6 months old. His presence has left a lasting imprint on everyone privileged to know him.
Bryan is survived by his loving parents, Richard and Katherine Stuck; his cherished sister, Tiffany Cruz; his brother-in-law, Jonathan Cruz; and the nephews he adored, Jonathan Cruz Jr. and Timothy Cruz. He is also mourned by his Uncle Robert and Aunt Beatrice Cookson and Aunt Melissa Stuck; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins across Florida, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine.
Bryan was a man of deep character; loving, kind, hardworking, wise, a peacemaker, loyal, funny, generous, humble, strong, and intelligent. Bryan was a believer in Christ and a man of integrity. Bryan touched the lives of all who knew him. Whether a businessman or someone in need, Bryan could make that person feel accepted and special. He never met a stranger. He would help anyone. His spirit of generosity was seen in all he did; whether for friends, family, or an acquaintance. He was wise and deliberate with his words. When he had something to say, it was important and worth stopping what you were doing to listen.
Bryan was an intelligent man with a remarkable mechanical aptitude and could truly do anything. Bryan was a very hard worker and took pride in doing his very best. Starting at the young age of nine, he began working summers in the family business, C.R. Stuck Heating and Air Conditioning, alongside his grandfather and father. He became proficient in wiring electrical equipment at the age of 12. He learned to be a great mechanic during that time and loved working on anything mechanical.
As a child, Bryan was lively and loved the outdoors. He always wanted to know how things worked and could often be found taking his mechanical toys apart and putting them back together again. Bryan and his sister Tiffany would have so much fun together and at times get into a little mischief.
In high school, Bryan was very active. He was involved in many extracurricular activities. He was in the high school band playing bass guitar, standup bass and the flugelbone. Bryan was in the marching band, concert band, jazz band, symphonic band, and performed in many concerts and competitions. He traveled to New Orleans where he played at the Luis Armstrong Park, Jazz Land, and an outreach concert at a men's rehabilitation center. He also started as both defensive center and offensive guard for the football team, with his sister supporting him as the water girl. Bryan was also very active in his church's youth group.
During Bryan's senior year of high school, he went on a work and witness trip to Twin Wells, Sun Valley Indian Boarding School in Sun Valley, Arizona. While there, he felt God leading him to serve there for a year. Bryan worked there as a cook. His mother called him one day and he said he would have to call her back because he was making 200 grilled cheese sandwiches. He loved the native children and would often speak words of wisdom over them. He had many adventures in Arizona and bought his first motorcycle while there. Oh, the stories we could tell!
He discovered his love for cooking while working at Main Street Grill, where he started as a dishwasher, then became a short-order cook, and eventually a line cook. You knew that if Bryan was in the kitchen you were going to have a delicious meal.
Bryan later worked for Truant Construction, where he worked on the Ocean Center and Ocean Walk and the Daytona Beach Visitor Center. He also worked on three public schools; an elementary, middle, and high school. He hand-built all the forms for the concrete work.
He then worked at All Florida Plumbing and Electrical Supply and later at B&B Well Drilling for nearly 17 years. He was proud to be a well driller and took pride in his work every single day. He was meticulous in his work. He always delivered great customer service and made sure his customers understood what he was doing and why. His excellent people skills, knowledge, and commitment to hard work were unsurpassed. Customers would always call to complement Bryan on the work he did for them. He was respected in his field for his great skill, knowledge and customer service.
Bryan had many hobbies. He enjoyed working on his trucks, motorcycles, and four-wheeler and had fun riding them with his friends. He liked going to the gun range with his buddies. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Bryan loved being outdoors in nature and said he felt closest to God there. He enjoyed spending summers in Maine with his grandparents and uncle as a child and continued visiting Maine every year with his parents at the cabin. He also enjoyed trips to the mountains in Georgia with his family.
Bryan was loyal to his friends, family, and loving best dog Rosco.
Above all, Bryan treasured his family. He shared a unique and close bond with each member. Bryan and his Dad were best friends. They worked on cars, motorcycles, trucks, and anything around the house together. They shared the same interests, which made their connection so strong.
Family always came first with Bryan. He loved spending time with family; especially playing with his nephews. Whenever he was with the boys, he always had something planned. No matter how tired he was, he would always get down on the floor to play with them.
Jonathan Jr. said Uncle B was the best "tickle monster" and loved when Uncle B would push him on the swing so fast and high up to the trees. Uncle B loved how Timothy would give him tight hugs and pat him on the back. When in his arms, Timothy would give some of the brightest smiles. The bond he created with these boys will live on forever.
Bryan loved his sister with a deep love and would do absolutely anything for her. Whenever they were together, there were always laughs and fun. He would joke with her like no one else, and they often reminisced about their childhood and the many fun memories they made together.
Most of all, Bryan loved his mom. They did everything together; from cooking in the kitchen to Walmart runs or simply going for a ride. Their time spent together was precious. Bryan would call his mother every morning on his ride to work and every evening on his ride home for 35 minutes both ways. The love between a mother and son is precious, but their bond was special beyond words.
This message is from Bryan. He found this and had sent this to many friends, and it's something we found and know he would want to share with everyone. This is part of his testimony:
I have studied the Bible a lot in my life, in many different forms and it really does always come down to this. I believe in the second coming of Christ and the events unfolding since I was a kid. The "Mark of the Beast", microchips, no cash/just plastic, Marshall Law, TOTAL Government dependency/control. When working long hours, some two jobs, lots of things go unnoticed or just get ignored.
No one can comprehend how bad it will be till it is. We have NEVER been told to stay home, quit work and rely on the Government. WE are seeing a lot of "firsts" since January. Can our minds and bodies handle what's coming? Not without God I wonder what doctor they will have on the news explaining the rapture and the disappearance of so many people?
While the devil is preparing people for the Anti-Christ, God is preparing people for the Rapture. I don't know when the rapture will take place but I do believe it could be soon. And I KNOW that I won't be left behind when that trumpet sounds!
I also believe right now that God is giving us a chance to repent. We need to get the Gospel message out!!! Until the Good Lord calls me away from this world to go home, I want to make it clear that I believe in Jesus Christ as the one and only True Lord and Savior. Despite the fact that I am human, and I fail a lot, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He came as a baby, I believe that He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins and that He rose from the dead on the third day and He is in Heaven preparing a place for all those who believe and trust Him as their Savior. He loves us all dearly (far more than we deserve) and forgives our sins when we repent.
His Word says John 3:16 "whosoever believeth in Me, should not perish but have ever lasting life."
The Bible also says Matthew 10:33 "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which art in heaven". Can I get an Amen and let's glorify God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit. Amen!
A memorial service will be held on June 7, 2025 at 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church, located at 310 Douglas Street,
New Smyrna Beach, Florida, 32168, to be Officiated by Pastor Charles D. Acheson and Pastor Barry Bressler.
