On May 22, 2024, we bid farewell to Bryant Joel Adsit (36), a remarkable man whose life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication. Born in 1987 in Monterey, CA, Bryant's service, passion, and boundless love was a blessing to all who knew him.
From his early days in Chandler, AZ, where he graduated high school in 2006, to earning his associate degree at UVU in 2021, Bryant was driven by a desire to make a difference. In 2009, he answered the call to serve his country, joining the Utah National Guard and later the Massachusetts National Guard in 2022. He would proudly earn the rank of E6 and was recognized with several honors.
Professionally, Bryant excelled in the field of Loss Prevention, starting in 2010 and eventually becoming a Loss Prevention Manager at TJX - a role he cherished. But more than any career accolade, Bryant's heart belonged to his family. On July 19, 2014, he married Heather in Vernal, Utah, and together, they celebrated the births of their two cherished children, Jade and Calvin Adsit.
Bryant's life was a vibrant tapestry if outdoor adventures: riding motorcycles, hunting, hiking, fishing, and playing with his dogs. He found joy in the simplest pleasures, especially those shared with his family. Bryant's legacy is defined not only by his professional achievements but by his unwavering commitment to his loved ones. He took immense pride in being a father, reveling in the daily joy of his children's eager embrace. Even when battling myoepithelial carcinoma, which would ultimately claim his life, he made time to be the best possible father for his children, whom he loved dearly. Bryant showed us all what it truly means to be a father.
He is survived by his parents Rhys (Elizabeth) Adsit and Kelly (Dan) Adsit-McGough; his siblings Jaren (Lori) Adsit, Kyram (Tate) Adsit, Forrest (Harley) Adsit, Kirstie Adsit, Zach Adsit, Chandler Adsit, and Logan Adsit; his devoted wife Heather Adsit; and their beloved children, Jade and Calvin Adsit.
Bryant's life reminds us that even in the face of adversity, with love and dedication we can leave an indelible mark on the world. We invite all who knew and loved Bryant to join us as we celebrate his extraordinary life and legacy on Friday, May 31, 2024, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and concluding with a memorial service at 12:00 noon at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. Following the service, the funeral procession will depart for the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne for a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. With the conclusion of services, friends and family are invited to gather at the Adsit home.
In lieu of flowers, which are not allowed at the National Cemetery, please consider a donation to Calvin and Jade's college funds, by mail to the Bryant J. Adsit Memorial Fund, c/o Forrest F. Adsit, 4636 28th RD, S, Apt. B. Arlington, VA 22206-4135.

I first met Byrant when I came in as his Platoon Sergeant in tha Massachusetts National Guard.
One of my favorite memories of him will always be when he took the lead on operating one of our Water Tanks, and at the end of a hot training day, he doused a bunch of us with the spray cannon, earning him his Call Sign (Waterboi)
Bryant and I both were on the Search & Extraction team for Massachusetts, one evening it was just him and I in the Barracks that we we're staying at because we we're both "The Old Men" who didn't like to stay out late. So we just talked and got to know each other and have some laughs about a variety of topics.
Something I'll always cherish about him is his disposition to always find the silver lining in anything that happens and pull from a negative situation, a positive light that guided many out of the shadow of that situation.
Lastly, Bryant was many things to many people, to Me, he is. Soldier, a Leader, a Friend, a Peer, and most of all, a Hero to all the lives that he impacted for the better.

He shall be remembered.
