Bryce Frank Rogers Jr.

Bryce Frank Rogers, Jr., a cherished husband, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, at the age of 68 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born on July 14, 1957, in Denver, Colorado, he was the embodiment of a life well-lived, brimming with kindness, gentleness, and thoughtfulness.

Raised by his parents Bryce Frank Rogers, Sr., and Alice Irene Duncan Rogers, he grew up with a strong sense of family and community that stayed with him throughout his life. Though his parents and beloved brother William "Bill" Rogers preceded him in death, Bryce's warm spirit remained a guiding light for his loved ones.

Bryce's enduring love story with his wife, Dawn Kocjancic Rogers, began with their marriage on March 19, 2016, in Alamosa, Colorado. Together, they forged a bond rooted in mutual respect, love, and unwavering support. He leaves behind a legacy through his surviving siblings, Ed and his wife Cathy Rogers of Castle Rock, CO, and Ron and his wife Tammy Rogers of Alamosa, CO, along with the generations that followed. His presence will be profoundly missed by his nieces and nephews, who he considered his kids: Frank (Tracy) Rogers, Joleen (Mike) Creviston, Kyndra (Chris) Johnson, Craig (Erika) Rogers, and Brittany Rogers; as well as his adored great-nieces and nephews: Reese, Cael, Scout, Paityn, Palmer, Brixton, Sydney, Anthony, Jacob, and Alysa.

Bryce dedicated 42 years of his life to serving the community as an equipment operator for the County of Alamosa Road and Bridge, retiring in 2021. His tireless work ethic and dedication to his role were only matched by his commitment to the Alamosa Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #1297. Bryce led by example, earning the respect of his peers as he served as the Exhaulted Ruler, leaving a lasting impact on the organization and its members.

A man who embraced the simplicity of nature, Bryce was most content amidst the mountains, lakes, and open skies. His joy for camping and fishing was ever-present, as was his pleasure in playing golf and tending to his yard. A lifelong history buff, he immersed himself in classic westerns and war movies. The room was often filled with Bryce's beloved '70s classic rock music, stories of adventures with his brothers and friends and lots of laughter. Athletics played a significant role in Bryce's younger years, particularly his love for football and softball. Later in life, he cheered for his beloved Denver Broncos and Ohio State Buckeyes (even after he married a Michigan fan.) He was so proud of his nieces and nephews in all of their activities and traveled to many events to support and cheer them on.

Cremation was performed at the Rogers Family Mortuary Crematory in Alamosa. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the First Christian Church, 518 First Street, in Alamosa, Colorado. Interment will follow services in the Alamosa Cemetery.
