Bryson Lavontae Ashford 28, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at his home surrounded by family. Bryson was born on January 27, 1997 in Knoxville, TN to Sonya Renee Ashford and the late Broderick Lee Tory. Bryson accepted Jesus early and was active in various church events, especially New Century United Methodist Church "Christmas Programs". Bryson loved and respected everyone that he came in contact with no matter who they were or how long he knew them. He was always a joy to have around. He was a great writer, and wrote with tremendous passion and boldness. As he visited various cities, he became a dynamic motivational speaker and he spoke to all young adults in the community.
Bryson, a former student of Roane County High School, in Kingston, TN, graduated with honors and achieved many goals. From little league to high school, Bryson participated in several sports programs and he was an amazing football and basketball player.
Bryson was preceded in death by the "love of his life" Marvin Alice Kirk (Great Grand-Mother), the late Robert Earl Ashford, Grand-Father and Fred Carson (Grand-Father).
Bryson is survived by: Sonya Renee (Jarus) Ashford (Mother), Diane Eddie (Grand-Mother),
Damia Perez (Daughter), Sister: Jayana Renee Ashford, Brothers: Javare Ashford, and Tobyas Lyons, a n d a devoted uncle Carl Edward (Lavonda) Kirk. Aunts: Haley Eddie, Charnette Gist, Robin Tory, and Barbara Boatwright (Great-Aunt), and Willie Mae Cofer (Grand-Mother).
Also to cherish his memory includes: "Loofy"his devoted dog, cousins: Ricky L. Martin, Brian Pankey, Traelyn Colquitt, Tyler Hughes, Nick Bryant, Kiara Long (Girlfriend) and a host of other cousins, neices, nephews. Some special friends: Gary Alley, Jamie Martin II and Maurice “Mo” Lane.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, TN. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm. Graveside and interment services will follow the funeral service and be held in the Braxton Chapel Cemetery in Kingston, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Bryson Lavontae Ashford.
