LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Fletcher "Bud" Ray Funderburk, Sr., age 93, passed away Wednesday March 19, 2025. He was born November 5, 1931, in Lancaster, SC, a son of the late Raymond Fletcher Funderburk and the late Elma Newman Funderburk and was the husband of the late Bonnie Dunlap Funderburk. Mr. Funderburk was owner/operator of Quality Heating and Air. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing golf, working with family, and cooking and delivering food for businesses. Mr. Funderburk was a member of Freedom Freewill Baptist Church.
Mr. Funderburk is survived by his son, Ray Funderburk (Karen); two daughters, Tammy F. Kirk (Walter) and Frankie Sistare; eight grandchildren, Kelly, Tracey, Alyson, Brian, Melissa, Kelsey, Kaylin, and Madison; seventeen great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Ken McManus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Funderburk; his parents; brother, Donald Funderburk; and two sisters, Anne McManus and Nettie Jewell Belk.
The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Funderburk will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Mitch Ingram. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm, one hour prior to the service, in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Freewill Baptist Church, 1697 N. Rocky River Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
