INDIAN LAND, SC – Mr. Raymond Patrick Oljeski, age 82, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025. He was born March 17, 1961 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the son of the late Raymond Francis Oljeski and the late Anne Mullins Oljeski.

Following graduation from Jamestown High School in 1961, and attending the University of Kansas, he began a long career of commercial underwriting in the insurance industry, where he spent much of his career in Liverpool, NY, Round Lake Heights, IL, Cranberry, PA and Charlotte, NC with Kemper Insurance, and later at The Hartford. He and his beloved wife, Patricia Salone Oljeski, met while working at the same bank in Jamestown, NY and were married in 1967. They later worked together again at Kemper Insurance in Charlotte, NC for many years. In his spare time, he was an avid reader, enjoyed target shooting and participating in IDPA pistol matches, as well as spending time with his 3 sons and 8 grandchildren, who were the joy of his life.

Raymond is survived by his three sons, Dr. Stephen Oljeski of Myrtle Beach, SC, Christopher Oljeski (Victoria) of Charlotte, NC and Matthew Oljeski (Mary Beth) of Fort Mill, SC; his five grandsons, Cameron, Cooper, Colton, Mason and Sam; his three granddaughters, Ava, Morgan and Katherine; his four nephews, his three nieces; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, and many, many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Salone Oljeski; his parents, Raymond and Anna Oljeski; and his sister, Carol Oljeski Hjemdahl-Monsen.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
