Mr. Burley Joe Burns, 51 of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away on July 6, 2024.
Burley Joe was born on November 12, 1972. Growing up he loved the lake where he enjoyed boating and skiing. He attended school in Madison County where he played in the band from sixth grade through high school. Burley Joe was a graduate of Madison Central High School. In addition he was a graduate of Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington. Following college he served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Survivors include his parents: his father: Burley Burns; mother: Beverly Jo Clark-Fultz (Bill); one sister: Johna Alexander (Ronnie); nieces: Jacqulyn Howell (Andrew), Miranda Lainhart (Fred) and Rachel Edwards; stepbrother: Jeff Fultz (Gina); stepsister: Becky Humphrey; step nieces and nephews: Natalie Fultz, Lindsay Tinsley (Troy), Emily Fultz, Mackenzie Humphrey, Kirkland and Kenton Humphrey, Alex Fultz (Crissie), Kristina Bowling (Luke) and Evan Alexander; several great nieces and nephews and step nieces and nephews. his special second mother: Linda Johnson (Shannon).
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: William and Effie Clark, Pleas and Mae Burns and Harold and Nelle Fultz; one stepbrother: Steve Fultz as well as his aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, July 15, 2024, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, 328 West Main Street with Rev. Bill Fort officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.
