Butch Murch

Loren E. "Butch" Murch, 78, of Hopedale passed away Friday Sept. 9, 2022 at home with his son by his side.
He was the husband of the late Jacklin (Tanner) Murch who died in 2017.
Butch enjoyed his work at Ace Hardware in Milford for over 20 years and loved the interactions with his customers.
He was born, February 6, 1944 in Whitinsville, the son of the late L. Everett and Charlene (Taylor) Murch and was a graduate of the Nipmuc High School.
Butch took pleasure in traveling, especially to York Beach, ME. He enjoyed going out to eat, the flea market, staying active, movies, and a nice glass of Blanton's Bourbon. He had also served in U.S. Army National Guard for several years.
Butch is survived by his son, Michael Murch and his longtime partner Darrah Gangemi of Hopedale; two sisters, Lorena Baldiga of Mendon and Joy Gaskill of Mendon and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Jewell Clark.
Visiting hours will be Wed. Sept. 21, 2022 from 5-8 PM in the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress Street, Milford.
Graveside funeral services will be private at a later date.
