Charles David Gallahan, 75, of Valdosta, Ga., passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Valdosta, Georgia after a long illness.
David was born in Washington, DC to Charles Francis Gallahan and Nellie Mason Gallahan Duley on December 24, 1948. He worked as a Program Coordinator for Behavior Health Services. He was best known for his love of history and care of animals.
David was preceded in death by his parents Charles Francis Gallahan, Nellie Mason Gallahan Duley, and his sister Clara Somers.
David is survived by spouse, Cindy Gallahan, his son, Chad Gallahan (Val); grandchildren Beckham, Bodhi, Kibbee. David is also survived by his daughter Dani Stroud. Niece Nancy Somers and nephew Chuck Somers (Yvette).
Pallbearers will be Kenny Green, Dusty Keech, Kelly Vick, Ralph Vick, Jr., and Steven Vick.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thank you to the staff at The Canopy at Azalea Grove.
The family will receive visitors at 1:00PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Carson McLane Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, May 15th, 2024 at Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Jeff May officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Carson McLane Funeral Home.The family requests any donations be made to local animal shelters, BARC Humane Society.
